Short Biography 1 Peter
Morgan enjoys playing jazz in just about any style. He has played
with the traditional bands of
Humphrey Lyttleton, Acker Bilk and Keith
Nicholls, and was a member of the Don Rendell quartet and the
Tony Lee
trio.
He has backed many visiting American jazzmen including Tal Farlow, Harry "Sweets" Edison, Al Casey, Jimmy Witherspoon and Maceo Parker. These days he appears often with the Mike Piggott trio and Martin Litton. He is one of the few British jazz bass players to use the bow and has appeared at London's Festival Hall playing Jimmy Blanton and Slam Stewart transcribed solos. He also toured Japan with Slim Gaillard playing the famous "Slim and Slam" repertoire. Short Biography 2 Peter Morgan is one of the few British jazz bass players to use the bow.
